Reflection: Enthusiasm means to be more excited about it putting all you have into whatever you're. He is saying it makes a difference because it does, if you do something and you don't try you won't have the experience you expected from it. Take school as an example, people say they have goals but don't put any effort into it and that is one of the reasons people don't succeed in life.
