Student Success Statement:Thomas Carlyle

Student Success Statement

"A man
without a goal
is like a ship
without a
rudder."

Thomas Carlyle

Reflection: I agree with this quote, without knowing what you are going to do in your life. Its like telling yourself you have no future. You are not planning ahead of time as most people would. People who know what they want to do usually achieve their goals because they try really hard to do what they wanted to do their whole life.

Student Success Statement: Sophocles

Student Success Statement

"I would prefer
even to fail with
 honor
than win by cheating."

Sophocles

Reflection: This quote I believe is true because would you rather win by knowing you did something wrong and feel bad about it or lose by doing nothing at all or doing it honestly and feel good about it because you know you did the honest right thing.

Student Success Statement:Dennis Prager

Student Success Statement

"The most
important thing
you will ever have
good values."

Dennis Prager

Reflection: The things that matter most than what you physically have is what your personality is like and how you act with people. For example it's like how some people make new friends they don't worry about how they look they worry about their way of being and how they act with others.

Reflection: I would not like to be in this career lots of people choose this career because its very easy to get into and it pay somewhat well. This job is not for me because it seems very boring and a career most of time has to be something you love or else you'll hate your job and you won't enjoy working which is what you are supposed to do in a career.

Student Success Statement: Wilford Woodruff

Student Success Statement

"Nothing is ever
gained in doing
what's wrong."

Wilford Woodruff

Reflection: I believe this statement is true because even if you think you got something good out of doing wrong you're not right because at some point it's going to come back and get you and end up hurting you.

"Nicest Man In The World"

"Nicest Man In The World"

Patrick Morgan

Florida

Reflection: This video goes to show that if you do something good, good things happen to you. Patrick Morgan found an IPAD with 13,000 dollars in it he handed it in to the authorities as soon as he realized what he had found. As a reward the owner gave him $60 from the $13,000 Morgan had given back. From the $60 Morgan got he gave some to a homeless woman and to a friend who was in need of the money at the time. Later on the aviation foundation at the airport he works in gave a check for $625 and a certificate to show that he did good.

Student Success Statement: Dr. Laura Schlessinger

Student Success Statement

"The reward for doing
right is mostly an
internal phenomenon:
self respect, dignity
(self worth), integrity,
and self esteem."

Dr.Laura Schlessinger

Reflection: In my opinion this quote means that when you do things right you feel way better about yourself than when you do something that's not right. When you do something that is not right you feel bad about it and sometimes things like that affect the way  you look at yourself and how you think other people look at you.

Student Success Statement: Alan Paton

Student Success Statement

"When a deep injury
is done us, we never
recover until we
forgive."

Forgive: To stop angry or resentful toward someone for an offense, flaw, or mistake.

Student Success Statement: Thomas S. Monson

Student Success Statement

"Dare to stand
 alone."

Thomas S. Monson

Reflection: In my opinion this quote means it doesn't matter what other people do you do what you think is best for yourself. Don't follow the crowd as an example that Mr. Haymore showed us Jameson Curry decided to do the same things as his friends are so called friends did and got charged with felony, lost his chance to play basketball for the North Carolina Tar Heels and also lost his spot on his high school Varsity basketball team that he had multiple records in.

UCLA Softball

UCLA Softball

I feel like the UCLA Softball team is like no other because all the girls coaches support each other and they're like a family they not only talk to each other when they are in practice or in games but also on the outside of softball they talk to each other and hangout. I have always wanted to play Softball for UCLA. Ever since I started playing it has been a goal and now that I'm playing softball in high school I'm hoping I can achieve it.
