Final Part 2:Evaluating This Course

Final: Part 2

Evaluating This Course

  1. What I liked about this class is that although we had to do work, we also had some free time to work on things such as the interdisciplinary project and other important assignments. We also got free time for ourselves where we got to go on social media and use our phones for appropriate uses only of course.
  2.  The only suggestion I have to improve this class is to change up the routine because people get bored, every time we come into the class we do the same thing over and over again.
  3. I believe i did do my best in this class I submitted all the assignments and was mostly always on task.
  4. Honestly, no I have not been reading my life planning goals daily. Usually I forget that I have to read them and put myself to work on another assignment.
  5. I do try my best to be a Ctr person but always find myself in bad situations especially with my grades. This first semester I know I didn't choose the right I lagged in almost all of my classes and had lots of missing work.
  6. Next semester I will be a different person for sure, I really want to play my two favorite sports that this year unfortunately had to get grade cut off of. I will get myself committed to do sports and my education.

Final Part 1: Interdisciplinary Project Summary

Final: Part 1

Interdisciplinary Project Summary

The topic my group focused on was Fitness and Nutrition, the essential question my group was assigned was Should parents be penalized for their children that have diabetes, obesity, etc? my group consisted of  Fatima, Lissbeth, Clarisa, Sevastian, Matthew, and myself. We believe Parents should not be penalized because these diseases don't always occur because of not eating healthy these occur because first it can already be in your body because of genetics, it's not always the parents fault it's sometimes the children's fault because they as teenagers still haven't taken responsibility of their body, and third some parents can't always afford healthy and nutritious options for their family. In my opinion I believe our group did a very good job in saying who's doing which parts of project. At first it was very stressful for me because I also had other things due in other classes, but then it got to the point where I started managing the time correctly. People can agree with me on this one, the scariest and most nerve wrecking part of the project was when it was finally the day of the showcase. Having to present in front of professionals is really scary, although we made sure we got the most accurate information possible we didn't know if they were going to ask questions and if we were going to be able to answer them. When it finally got to the time our group had to present I was very nervous because 2 of our members were running late and we didn't know if they were going to make it or not luckily they did. We had two professionals on our panel of four the other being Ms.Orozco and the other being Ms. Porter. The first professionals was a woman her job was a scientist, the second a man who was a registered nurse. Lastly, my group did a very great job and we worked together to make sure it was the best that we can do. Next semester I hope to do better because of the experience I had this semester.

Student Success Statement

When I do good,I feel good. When I do bad'I feel bad.

Abraham Lincoln

Reflection: People know when they do good and bad. When you do good you always have that feeling of I did something good and you're self esteem goes up. When you do bad you get the feeling that you most likely disappointed other people and you disappointed yourself as well so you're self esteem goes down.

"Take responsibility for your own body, mind, spirit, for your own physical, mental, and spiritual well-being."

Mr. Haymore
Reflection: Whatever you let hurt your mind, hurts your body and your spirit. Some people believe you can be physically okay, even though your mind is not. I do not think this true, you will be okay at first but then it will eventually get to you.

"We need the courage to start and
continue what we should do, and the
courage to stop what we shouldn't do."

Richard L. Evans
Reflection: I believe this quote means we need to be strong enough to do the good that we want to do and not give up and have the power to stop what we shouldn't be doing, the bad.

"When you tell one lie,it leads to another"

Paul Hatch

Reflection: Once you start lying it's hard to stop, people become dependent on lying and that's whats so bad about it, it becomes habitual. In my opinion people learn to lie on their own you can't be taught to lie by another person but on your own.

Physical Fitness
"Physical fitness is not only one of the
most important keys to a healthy body,
it is the basis of dynamic and creative
intellectual activity. The relationship
between the soundness of the body and
the activities of the mind is subtle
and complex. Much is not yet understood.
But we do know what the Greeks
knew: that intelligence and skill can
only function at the peak of their
capacity when their body is healthy and
strong"

President John F.Kennedy

Reflection: In my opinion the quote means, if you are physically healthy it doesn't really mean anything unless you are mentally healthy. you have to have a balance between those two things or else they don't mean anything.
