Duties and Responsibilities: Design, measure, fit, and adapt lenses and frames for client according to written optical prescription or specification. Assist client with selecting frames.
Salary: $33,770
Education: Bachelor's degree in opticianry may offer a competitive advantage. Opticianry courses educate students in the anatomy and physiology of the human eye, optical fundamentals and refraction.
Reflection: I would not like to be in this career lots of people choose this career because its very easy to get into and it pay somewhat well. This job is not for me because it seems very boring and a career most of time has to be something you love or else you'll hate your job and you won't enjoy working which is what you are supposed to do in a career.
